About Me
My mom, brother, dad and me
I am probably one of the weirdest, most entertaining people that you will ever meet. I love being goofy and making people laugh. I own over 30 pairs of shoes and all 10 seasons of Friends. I am constantly reading and my favorite books are the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. I think Morelli is awesome, which causes conflict in my house because my mom is definitely Team Ranger. I'm only 5'1 and have really small feet, which everyone makes fun of me for.
My family and friends make fun of me for it, but I love studying geography. I can name the capital of just about any country in the world and also point out where that country is on a map. My friends think that it’s fun to play the game “Let’s-Say-a-Random-Obscure-Country-and-See-if-Sam-Knows-the-Capital.” I love spending time with my family and friends, reading, taking pictures, painting, and watching the occasional TV show (So You Think You Can Dance and Friends are some of my favorites). My mom, brother (John), boyfriend (Joe) and I all watch Survivor together on Wednesday nights; I think Jeff Probst is one of the most awesome people on the planet. I also love food, both eating and cooking it and I like making new foods or eating at new restaurants with Joe.
I won the Cincinnati Library “Go Wild” photography contest for teens in 2011 with a picture I took at the Krohn Conservatory during their annual butterfly show a few years ago. I entered a few different photographs, most of them ones that were taken at the zoo and I was surprised the butterfly picture won because I thought it wouldn't be “wild” enough. A couple other things I consider accomplishments of mine are getting into DAAP and buying my own car when I was 16.
I graduated from McAuley High School in College Hill in 2012. I lived at home with my parents, younger brother John, and dogs Bella, Jack and Marco until May of this year when I moved into a house with my friend Shannon. I am a Fine Arts major in DAAP, and I had planned to focus on photography but ended up concentrating more on wheelthrowing. I currently work at Spotless Spaces Cleaning, which is a Cincinnati-based cleaning business that my mom started in 2011; as well as being a part of the cleaning staff, I'm also the office manager. In addition I work for the Cincinnati wedding photography company Images by Daniel Michael, the event planning company i-do Weddings & Events, and I nanny two kids during the school year. My goal is to get a full-time job with my godmom working at i-do Weddings & Events, which is based in O’Bryanville, where I have been helping out on an as-needed basis since 2008. I would also like to travel to a lot of different places (including Italy) because I have never been off the continent--the only other country I've been to was Canada in the summer of 2013.
